I have the distinction of being able to teach theology and also be part-time in the Campus Ministry department. It is great to be apart of both departments, as well as helping integrate students into the Christian Service Program at Judge. In 2005-06 I began a pilot Sophomore service program playing Bingo at St. Joseph Villa with the residents. The student response was so positive and encouraging that the 2006-07 school year marked the beginning of the Sophomore Service Retreat at St. Joseph Villa. Every single Judge Sophomore participated. Great job Sophomores!
In addition to my teaching and Campus Ministry responsibilities, I also assist with all the numerous bus driving commitments. It is great to drive Judge teams and get to see them play as well. Stopping at McDonald’s is a treat, as the bus driver gets to eat for free, most of the time.
I am the JROC moderator, and enjoy skiing at Brighton on Wednesday evenings. The student club members have a great time boarding and skiing, and arrive home in time for completing the last of their homework.
I enjoy all sports, especially skiing both summer and winter. I have recently joined a friend in training for a “mini” triathlon. My goal is to finish. I enjoy motorcycle riding, but the bike above I recently sold, it is time to maybe get a Harley!!!
One of the biggest challenges for me currently is to finish my dissertation in Catholic School administration. I began the Admin. program at the University of San Francisco in 2002 and am currently writing and editing my dissertation along with identifying my survey population for my dissertation research. My topic will research the type of instructional planning most frequently practiced by teachers in Catholic secondary school.
